The corrupt only thrive in a world where the many do nothing

Synchronity

It's another busy day, and people are already asking me what I'm doing again. To be fair, it's a good question. I get up, go to work, spend copious amounts of time at work, drink terrible coffee if I'm lucky enough to have that luxury, and come back late, tired and drunk on productivity. So what do I do? Simple, I work to make sure that the sort of corrupt political and corporate fatcats who try their hardest to run the world don't make things even worse for all of us little guys.

Now, before you blink, it's not like this is a new thing, nor is it something I can even come close to doing it alone. Without the help and work of my teammates, investigating cold cases and finding paper trails left behind by technologically unskilled bureaucrats would be nigh-impossible. And it's not like my job is to get rid of politics in general... But have you ever stood back and thought to yourself, 'Hey! Where'd the guy who I voted go for, and where'd This Guy come from?', or otherwise wondered why politicians seem to do their best to avoid keeping their promise, or corporations just get richer and richer, till the only option left seems to be grab a bottle, some kerosene, and take back the streets?

Woah now there, pal. I know you're tired. I know you've lost a lot, and there's no way you're gonna get it back. But the thing is, that's something we've got to recognize; as long as we keep enabling these guys to take what they want, and call themselves our 'representatives', there's nothing we *CAN* do to make our world more hospitable. We need to STOP empowering them and empower ourselves, instead. How do we go about that? Well, I could think of a few things you could do yourself, from the minor(getting involved in local politics, going to an open corporate meeting, doing research about the various groups active in your region, and sharing them with friends and family), to the major(protesting a major Megacorp development, organizing a mass strike or repudation of corporate/government action, work on developing alternative food sources/energy sources and moving quickly to share them, instead of turning a quick buck), my job is simple:

I'm gonna bust every single one of these guys possible. Because I despise their use-and-toss philosophy of life, because it's unsustainable, nonproductive, and a lie to those they represent, whether they are voters or shareholders, and mostly because I don't want good guys like yourself - or myself, or our families, or friends - to have turn into jaded urban guerillas, not when there is action we can take now. If you have any leads on political or corporate corruption where you live, give my offices a call. I'll do my best to help.
